Five Best Things I Ate began because my wife remarked a long time ago it could be fun to keep a tally of foods you like and things you don’t. This seemed like an easy enough webapp to whip up, until it became obvious it needed authentication. And authorization. And groups. And its own database. And file hosting. And sharing. And more, just for an apparently very simple webapp.
Like the main site, it also uses astro for the front end, but uses Hono to provide some of the backend services. It does not want anything to do with storing user information or managing credentials, so all logins are done via Oauth. Currently, Google, Discord, and Github logins are supported.
Once you log in, you see a decidedly unfriendly page saying you need a role granted if I have not already granted you one. Why? Because this is a free-tier project for fun with friends with no intentions to a service that burns money supporting large numbers of users and/or dealing with spam. If I invited you, you have a role. If you want an invite, email me.

Once in, you have My List and Groups. My List shows you what you have entered. Clicking the Add Item button pops up dialog to enter information about what your tummy enjoyed, with an optional photo. Once you have several items on the list, you can drag reorder them so you can keep your favorites where they belong, at the top of the list.
Groups are how you can share your gastronomical preferences. You can create a group with an Invite link to send to others to join your group - they must go through the registration hassle with me - and then you can see their lists, and they can see yours. Other people can of course invite you to their group.
