DNDSim

A place to model Dungeons and Dragons calculations. First up, choose your class and equipment, and see what sort of damage you can muster. Yes, this sort of white-room theorycrafting can suck the joy out of the game, which is why I do not use it much. But when I am trying to learn enough rust to create a wasm site and a scriptable binary, it's a useful mini-project.

DNDSim can help model different types of scenarios in game. Ok, right now, only one type of scenario, but it can help guide choices like “flavor and fun aside, should my barbarian us a Greataxe or a Greatsword to crush the most enemies and hear the lamentation of their women?” (Yes, it’s a sexist line, but blame Robert E. Howard, or at least Arnold Schwarzenegger.)

You can use the character builder to choose options, and built the formula to put on the results. Only SRD options are available, because going up against Hasbro’s legal team would result in you hearing my lamentations:

Conan, what is best in life?
Which weapon crushes the most enemies?

For non-SRD or more complex operations, you can directly write formulas as well

Choose the general conditions of your combat:

And see it in both graph and table form.

Eventually, I will get this one on github so people can ask for scenario additions or just pick nits.

The purpose of this particular project was to move off my java/nodejs comfort zone into rust. This webpage is a WASM binary, but the goal will also include releasing binaries that can be run locally, so people can legally add their purchased content for their own personal use, and even script against it.
